Our team of engineers and technical experts have more than 120 years of combined experience in delivering exceptional civil and structural engineering services and solutions across a broad range of industries and projects globally.
Our History
RMCE was established following the strategic restructuring of Leech Price Associates (Pty) Ltd, a well-regarded civil and structural engineering consultancy founded in 1983.
Leech Price Associates, originally based in Randburg, South Africa, built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality civil and structural engineering solutions while maintaining a commitment to transformation and skills development within the industry. As the firm grew, its structural and civil engineering divisions developed distinct operational needs, leading to the relocation of the structural department to Midrand in 1997 to enhance efficiency.
In 1999, the structural department was rebranded as Ritchie Midgley Consulting Engineers (RMCE). Although operating as independent business entities, both divisions continued to collaborate, leveraging their shared expertise.
Operating successfully for over 25 years, RMCE has established itself as a trusted provider of high-quality civil and structural engineering solutions, consistently delivering technically sound, cost-effective, and innovative designs.
Our commitment to engineering excellence, rigorous quality control, and adherence to industry best practices ensures that every project meets the highest standards of safety, durability, and efficiency.
Through collaborative engagement and a client-focused approach, we have built and maintained long-term relationships with public and private sector clients, adapting to evolving industry demands while remaining responsive to their unique needs.
With a strong track record, RMCE continues to provide reliable, forward-thinking engineering solutions that stand the test of time.
